Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to Immigrant Buddies Terms and Conditions of Use (these “Terms”), this agreement begins on the date hereof.

This legal agreement between you and Immigrant Buddies governs your use of the services and website (collectively referred to as the “platform”). It is important that you read and understand these Terms. By clicking “I Agree,” you are agreeing that these Terms will apply if you choose to access or use the platform.

Immigrant Buddies is the provider of the platform. We connect immigrants with Buddies (mentors and friends) who help them adjust to life in America. You intend to use this platform to either give or receive help in adjusting to life in America and/or to build friendships, and do not intend to use this platform for any other purpose. Buddies are volunteers who assist the immigrant in adjusting to life in America. Assistance and support provided by the Buddies can include [insert areas of help] transportation, cultural activities, creating resumes, seeking employment and other daily life skills.

1. Requirements for use of the platform
   1. Age. The platform is only available to individuals aged 18 or older.
   2. Devices and Accounts. Immigrant Buddies can be accessed on mobile, tablet, laptop and desktop devices; may require periodic updates and can temporarily affect the platform; You are responsible of maintaining confidentiality and security of your account and is intended for personal use
   3. Limitations on Use. You agree to use the platform only for purposes permitted by this agreement. You and the Buddies are responsible for your own actions on this platform; actions, opinions and statements from you and/or the Buddies, do not represent the actions of Immigrant Buddies as a company. If your use of the platform threatens Immigrant Buddies ability to further its mission, Immigrant Buddies shall all reasonable actions to protect the platform, which may include suspension or termination of your access to the platform. Immigrant Buddies will not be held liable for any unintended consequences made from connections on this platform. You agree to release Immigrant Buddies from any liability related to connections made with this platform.
   4. Changes of Platform. Immigrant Buddies reserves the right at any time to modify this agreement. If Immigrant Buddies does make changes to the platform or these Terms, you will have the right to terminate this agreement and your account.
2. Features and Services
   1. Photos. By clicking I Agree we have the right to use your photos for marketing, if you don’t agree then you can contact info@immigrantbuddies.com
   2. Account Recovery or Assistance. Contact info@immigrantbuddies.com
   3. Your information will be used for company improvement or marketing purposes and will not be sold or shared.
3. Your Responsibilities
   1. You agree to NOT do the following with your use of the Immigrant Buddies platform:
      1. Stalk, harass, threaten or harm another; engage in activities that exploits, harms or threatens a minor in any way; spread viruses intended to harm the platform; promote marketing not associated or without permission from Immigrant Buddies; junk mail; defamatory language, or otherwise harm Immigrant Buddies or its users in any way
      2. Falsify your information. You must use your real name, age, and data when creating an Immigrant Buddies account. Immigrant Buddies will reject or block any account or email address that is found to be impersonating somebody else, or misrepresents your identity
      3. Copy data and/or information from Immigrant Buddies
      4. Sell, post and/or steal any account, confidential information, or data obtained from our platform.
      5. Interfere with or impair the intended operation of the platform. No fraudulent reports or appeals will be accepted. You are responsible for your actions, opinions and statement and you do not represent the platform of Immigrant Buddies.
      6. Engage in sexual behavior or actions. Consent is always required. There should be no expectations to use this platform as a dating app and you must respect boundaries with other members you meet through this platform.
      7. Solicit Money. Immigrant Buddies will not provide any monetary donation, contribution and/or assistance to its members or Buddies. Do not solicit financial compensation from any connections you make through this platform.
4. Removal or Termination of Your Account
   1. Immigrant Buddies reserves the right to remove any content or information that violates these Terms or limit parts of the platform. Repeated offense will result in termination of our platform. If you believe your account was wrongfully terminated or would like to delete your account, consult info@immigrantbuddies.com
   2. If you encounter inappropriate conduct, harassment or bad behavior, we encourage you to report this instance(s) via our Contact Us in-platform support messaging or to info@immigrantbuddies.com. We will review the report to determine if suspension or termination of the perpetrator is required.
5. Liability & Disclaimer
   1. Your access and use to Immigration Buddies is at your own risk. You understand and agree that the services are provided to you on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. Immigration Buddies makes no representation or warranties of any kind with respect to the platform or content.
   2. Immigrant Buddies does not verify or inquire into the immigration status of users. By using the platform, all users acknowledge that they are solely responsible for their compliance with U.S. law. Immigrant Buddies provides cultural, social, and educational support only, and does not provide legal advice or guarantee protection from immigration consequences.
   3. Users understand that participation is at their own risk, and Immigrant Buddies is not liable for immigration, employment, or legal outcomes that may arise from participation.”
   4. Buddies provide general friendship and community support. They are not responsible for users’ immigration status or legal issues, and Immigrant Buddies does not authorize or encourage illegal activity.
