Immigrant Buddies is the provider of the platform. We connect immigrants with Buddies (mentors and friends) who help them adjust to life in America. You intend to use this platform to either give or receive help in adjusting to life in America and/or to build friendships, and do not intend to use this platform for any other purpose. Buddies are volunteers who assist the immigrant in adjusting to life in America. Assistance and support provided by the Buddies can include language skills, transportation, cultural activities, seeking employment and other daily life skills.
First and Last name, phone number, email, age, gender, state of residence, profile photo, native language, country of origin, type of immigrant, about me, areas of help, etc.
We do not share or sell your personal information.
You must be 18 years or older to use our service. If needed, we may ask for a form of identification (government-issued ID, passport, etc) to verify your information.
We do not advise you to provide confidential information on your profile. Please do not share your password to your account.
You can edit, update, delete information on your account. You can withdraw your consent of having your photos used by reaching out to info@immigrantbuddies.com. You have the right to terminate your account with Immigrant Buddies.
If you want to suspend or be inactive, you can “hide your profile” from the Edit Profile page. If you want your data to be deleted from our records, please email us at info@immigrantbuddies.com and we will permanently delete your account.
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy. If you do not agree with our revision, you can cancel your account.
